Ethernet over Copper

Ethernet over Copper refers to a network connection that transmits Ethernet signals using traditional copper telephone lines or twisted pair cables, such as Cat5e or Cat6 cables. This method is commonly used for local area networks (LANs) and provides reliable, high-speed connectivity for various applications, including internet access, file sharing, and networked devices.

While Ethernet over Copper is generally less expensive and easier to deploy than fiber optic solutions, it typically offers lower speeds and shorter range compared to fiber optics. It's suitable for many business and residential environments where extremely high speeds and long-distance transmission are not critical.
